AIR-COUPLED ULTRASONIC SYSTEMS
Non-Destructive Testing without the need of Coupling Agents. Optimized for individual components and automated processes within the production line.
Why Air-Coupled Ultrasonic Testing?
Why Air-Coupled Ultrasonic Testing?
Air-coupled ultrasonic testing is a non-destructive testing method that does not require coupling agents. This means that no water or gel is required to lubricate the test object. In this way, even easily deformable materials such as elastomers can be tested. Our UT-System is ideal for the inspection of defects, inclusions and inhomogeneities in plastics, wood, fibre composites, laminations and multi-layered multi-material structures. In addition to defect analysis, our type of ultrasonic testing is commonly used to inspect joints in a variety of materials throughout the manufacturing industry.
Select your System for Ultrasonic Testing:
Ideal for testing individual parts directly on the test object with the modules of the yoUVision software
Automated quality control directly implemented into the production line without the need of any coupling agents
Application of our Ultrasonic Systems
Examine joints of multi-material components for defectiveness
Analyse the processing of your weld, soldering or brazing
Three advantages of using ultrasonic testing at yoUScan:
Full Service Assistance
Consultation, order, development, installation & maintenance — a yoUScan system is always accompanied by full service.
Laboratory & Inline Systems
No matter whether you want to inspect individual parts or automate your entire series. The ultrasonic systems from yoUScan cover both.
Software yoUVision
yoUScan offers a variety of combinable evaluative solutions for laboratory systems as well as individual software solutions for inline systems.
Frequently asked Questions of our Customers:
The size of the detectable flaws depend strongly on the component. For example, it plays a role whether the component is made out of metal (such as aluminium and steel) or plastic. Typically, defect sizes of 2 to 3 mm can be identified.
The number of parallel measuring channels and the desired resolution influence the speed of the inline system enormously. Therefore, a range of 100 mm to 2000 mm per minute can be given.
In addition to the yoUVision basic module, users of the laboratory system can add any of our 16 supplementary modules. These can be selected according to your needs and requirements. With these modules, ultrasonic testing for materials or components becomes as convenient as possible. You can find an overview of our modules here:
